LVBA starting 8th season of travel baseball

Dear Players, Parents & Prospects Families:

LVBA & The Prospects Program are proud to announce our 8th year of spring, summer tryouts for 2015. The 2015 Prospects will consist of teams from 10u through 18u. After 7 years, the LVBA Prospects are still the only Lehigh Valley based travel program to be nationally recognized.

We are also the only Lehigh Valley program to offer a year round commitment to our players. Baseball players are not part-time players any more in 2015 and baseball definitely is not a part-time proposition for LVBA.

We have developed more players and sent more prospects to college and Pro baseball than any other Lehigh Valley program in history. We are extremely proud of our past and the future is brighter than ever.

Our roots are set firmly in the Lehigh Valley which is exactly where we want to be. Although our competition is outside of the Lehigh Valley, we still do not charge prices like those nationally recognized programs and we are one of the most affordable nationally recognized program available.

That being said, we still play and practice more than all of our competitors.

LVBA will continue to develop any and all athletics and The Prospects will continue to be a recognized name across the country. Tryouts will begin in January 2015. We look forward to seeing you there.

All Prospects tryout/evaluation information can be found at this link:

Yours in Baseball,
Dylan Dando

Velocity and Arm Care Program

This offseason in addition to the velocity and strength training program we did last year we are throwing a new routine into the mix. Sean Heimpel, Brett Palanski and Tyler Vail will be introducing a revolutionary weighted ball and throwing program that has proven results at the highest level.

This program is not just for pitchers either, whether you are throwing down to 2nd base, making a throw across the diamond, or throwing someone out from the outfield, everyone can benefit from a stronger, more durable, healthier arm. During this 10 week program players will go through an intense arm care regimen 2 times a week for an hour and 20 mins each session. Each player will get a base radar gun reading before we start, there will be gun readings week 1, 5, and 10 to track progress.

Throughout the program each player will be conditioned with various exercises working the shoulder, the rotator cuff, and the scapula (New Iron Scap Program).

Core and explosive movement training will also be incorporated.

The benefits do not stop at velocity, players will develop a healthier more balanced arm that will keep them on the field and off the DL.

All 3 instructors have pitched or are still pitching at the professional level --

Sean Heimpel -- formerly of Nashua Pride, Washington Wild Things, Windy City Thunderboltz, San Diego Padres
Brett Palanski -- formerly of Nashua Pride, Quebec City
Tyler Vail -- (Oakland Athletics)

“The LVBA Team Training Program was put together to give players in our program a head start on the Spring/Summer season. I think it is important that their workouts are monitored by the coaches who will be coaching them as well as training as a team continuing with the competition within a team during the winter is the best way to maximize results and improve as an individual.”

“The LVBA Team Training Program will be the best way for a new player to get his foot in the door at LVBA prior to the evaluation process. We are looking for serious players and the willingness to train throughout the winter is what it takes.”  —- Dylan Dando
